1way2escape is a sustainable high-quality comfort wear and accessories brand, founded in London, UK in June 2021.

We exclusively use 100% GOTS certified organic cotton, recycled polyester, and other sustainable materials.

Sustainability

1way2escape is deeply committed to produce all our products in an ethical and sustainable manner.  Our supply chain is certified by various independent bodies and standards. Each of these certifications demonstrate that we are working towards building healthy environmental practices and greater respect for the planet, every step of the way.

To ensure the safety of all our workers, we work very closely with the Fair Wear Foundation (FWF) and support our partners with their Corporate Social Responsibility (CSR) approach.

At present, we work with only five partner factories in Bangladesh and one in China, helping us build supportive, long-term and collaborative relationships with all of them.

Finally, we collect data from across our supply chain to gain a better understanding of our environmental impact and help us work towards minimising it. All our partner factories are equipped with state-of-the art Effluent Treatment Plants which remove toxic elements from the water and ensure it is safe to be reused.

How we are different from fast fashion

Through the careful selection of the highest-quality fabrics, the integrity that goes into production and the originality of our designs, we aim to provide our customers with high-quality comfort wear which they will love and treasure for many years to come.

Contrary to fast fashion, 1way2escape only creates timeless high-quality collections which are not only sustainable but also durable.  We aim to be a brand which feels good to buy and even better to wear.

The meaning of our brand name

When you look up to the blue sky and see the peaceful flight of a plane to some destination, don’t you stop and catch yourself wondering where they are going?  Are they travelling to a romantic city?  An exotic beach?  Or some other beautiful part of the world?

In that precise moment, different things might go through our mind.  We could have a feeling of curiosity and amazement, a wish to be on that plane or even possibly a desire to escape the daily grind.  It might not be possible to get on a plane right there and then but one way to temporarily ‘escape’ might be to find a little bit of luxury, comfort, and softness in a favourite and beautiful piece of clothing.  The name of 1way2escape was born.

If one of our original T-Shirts, one of our beautiful sweatshirts or one of our super soft hoodies gives you, our customer, a feeling of escape and a smile, we will be over the moon.  And maybe before you know it, very soon you will be on that plane yourself!

About the founder

After a 22-year career in finance, Jan, 1way2escape's founder, decided to turn his passion for creativity into a sustainable high-quality fashion brand.  He launched 1way2escape in June 2021.
